Hi folks ! I know that it has been quite a while since I wrote out to you , but I have been busy . Rest assured I am back , you’re probably wondering what marketing related or thought provoking idea do I have to share with you ? Well, although not related to marketing , I have been thinking how do I create substance in my life ?
Have you ever wondered why you consistently see the same banner ad follow you on every website you visit? Do you know why that is? Do you ever wonder why certain television commercials air during certain shows? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you may be more aware of marketing than you thought.
This is how my passion for advertising started.
For years I wanted to be a teacher- I enjoyed the thought of reading to a class of young children and writing math problems on the board.
Everyone tells us to think of the positive, to not worry so much, although this is all good advice it can be very complicated- you are stuck in traffic which makes you late for work, you spill coffee all over your best outfit right before a meeting, you’re stressing out about your friends wedding and your mom just told you some bad news…Great, now what? You come home and your negativity becomes infectious, your spouse has great news to tell you but you can’t seem to muster up a smile and give them your full attention. Everyone falls victim to this kind of day, but how do you get out of it? How do you capture the good things in a day and how do you share in the great attitude of others? Here are 3 ways to bring positive thought to your day:
Good evening everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend. I just got back from a fun and relaxing weekend at my parents place in Wasaga. If you have been following along with my blog, you will probably know that I recently purchased a used car and have been gearing myself up for larger adventures. If you know me personally, you will know that I haven’t driven too much in my life, as I got accustomed to taking the bus. Although the bus and I had our moments, it was time to part ways and move on to bigger and better things. 3 months later I find myself driving up, by myself to Wasaga beach! During my travels I noted some key points and tips for myself, or fellow adventure seekers when they embark on their next journey.
More recently I’ve been visiting my grandparents. I try to call them once a week to do a check up and pop over for a visit at least once a month. Sometimes I am a bit too tired to venture out, but I end up enjoying my visits. I also regularly skype my sister and parents and try to see them when I can, as well. Just this past year I’ve noticed a change in my visits, maybe I’m maturing? Or,maybe I see the true value in each conversation and visit that I didn’t experience when I lived at home? let me explain.
Everyday we are surrounded by decisions. What to wear, where to drive, what work needs to be done, or what’s the best thing to say in a difficult situation. What’s the better option? I have thought about this a lot this weekend as I am looking to move out of my high rise apartment and back into a basement apartment to save more money. You always hear that phrase ‘life is about making decisions’, well what if it’s also about marketing decisions?
Good morning everyone, I hope that you’re all doing well today and are enjoying what the day brings you. I, in fact, am just about to begin a morning yoga routine to start my day. Isn’t this just so simple? Like I have said before it’s the little things in life that truly make us happy. The book I am reading ties into this idea, it’s called How Philosophy Can Save Your Life and the basic principles outlined in this book inspire me.
